The Tapestry of Color

From Theory to Expression

Color is a fundamental aspect of our visual experience, influencing our emotions, perceptions, and cultural associations.

This article uncovers various color theories and concepts that shape our understanding of how colors impact our lives, from the aesthetic to the psychological and how it will influence your brand image.

1 Color Wheel and Relationships

The color wheel serves as a foundational tool in color theory, organizing colors based on their relationships.

Complementary, analogous, and triadic color schemes provide guidelines for creating harmonious and visually appealing combinations.

It is important to remember, that those relationships are a general guideline and choosing your personal colors it needs to be aligned with your True Color Type to not end up with the worst colors!

2 Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy, or color therapy, explores the therapeutic effects of specific colors on physical and emotional well-being.

Certain colors can positively influence mood and energy levels which can be described and explained with quantum physics and the behavior of electrons - absorbing or reflecting certain colors based on the predisposition of genes and gaining energy of specific absorbed colors.

Here it is important to use colors not based on generic color psychology but based on each person´s True Color Type.

3 Color Semiotics

Color semiotics investigates the symbolic meanings and cultural associations tied to different colors.

It reveals how societal perceptions influence our clothing and style choices, breaking down traditional gender norms and celebrating individual expression.

Each culture has its own set of colors and meanings that sometimes are completely opposite from another culture´s meaning which I am excited to explore in future articles on this blog.

Growing up in Asia, living in Europe for a long time and then traveling for the past 3 years full-time allowed me to discover the intricate differences of each culture - it is a whole new world that can teach us so much about others and ourselves!

4 Psychological Priming

The color of clothing can subtly influence behavior and self-perception through psychological priming. Colors like red and black can boost confidence and convey authority, while blue is associated with trustworthiness.

BUT only if the colors the person is wearing are aligned with the True Color Type. Otherwise, these colors will diminish confidence, authority, and trustworthiness.

Here is one of the biggest mistakes that many women make: just following generic color psychology that suggests generic colors for everyone universally.

But you are not generic or universal, your are unique, you consist of a unique color palette as unique as your fingerprint. Your body has a very specific mix of frequencies and thus needs very specific frequencies to look and be healthy on the outside and inside.

Which is why your chosen colors need to be aligned with your True Color Type to boost confidence, authority and health.

5 Personal Color Preferences

Individual color preferences are highly subjective, shaped by personal experiences, trauma, cultural influences, and emotional associations.

Preferences evolve over time and not always conform to traditional color analysis systems or rules.

Many women oftentimes choose colors based on the depth and variety of trauma they have experienced in life.

They will either obsess with one or more colors to an extreme or they will except any color wearing a rainbow that dilutes their natural beauty.

In both cases, they hide from their true identity driven by fear and pain.

In many years of being a personal stylist, 98% of women chose colors based on trauma and they almost punish themselves with the wrong colors as an extension of the punishment they received in their childhood - all subconsiously that they are not aware of; or as a means to hide from potential threats of harm and discomfort.

6 Environmental Adaptation

The colors in your environment, whether at home or in the workplace, can impact comfort and influence your personal style.

This adaptation to surroundings extends to clothing choices, reflecting your desire for harmony and self-expression.

This type of adaptation can also have negative effects that I will explore in a separate article.

7 Neuroaesthetics

Researchers explore the neurological basis of aesthetic experiences, including color perception and how our brain processes colors.

This interdisciplinary approach uncovers the brain's response to color, considering emotional impact, individual differences, and cultural influences.

This fascinating field is worth exploring in future articles and I can´t wait to share my findings with you!
